Bergamot, Vetiver and Frankincense

To heal with forgiveness.

June 2019

Bergamot, Vetiver and Frankincense help you heal through forgiveness while building a stronger core of yourself.

This June we are called to do some deep healing so we can forgive and accept others the way they are. Sometimes, people walk out from our life, either physically, mentally or emotionally. Sometimes they may still be there, but because they have their own shit to deal with, they are doing their own thing, and we feel like they have walked away. Either way we feel hurt, let down and upset.

Bergamot essential oil is the Healer of the Citruses. It connects us with Archangel Raphael to heal sadness, fear, anger, grief and emotional wounds. Bergamot surrounds us with healing green light. It is excellent companion when we realise the importance of forgiveness, as it is through forgiveness we can release suppressed emotions, cut ties from the past and move forward. Bergamot opens the paths to and from the Heart Chakra bringing up hidden memories and feelings that need to be worked on, whilst protecting us with its soothing and cleansing energy.

Vetiver with its earthy, deep, smoky, musky yet sweet scent is one of the greatest grounding oils, very strongly connected with the Root Chakra. Vetiver cleanses the Solar Plexus, dispelling cobwebs of negativity. It is one of the most powerful protective oils, and in this blend it is excellent to teach us how to be emotionally detached, yet present and understanding. Vetiver offers protection and emotional balance through the process of forgiveness that can be a very challenging experience. When it is achieved though it is such a freeing feeling!

Frankincense is one of the most powerful spiritual and emotionally cathartic oils. It teaches us to accept the Other. With Frankincense we learn that people have their own path and sometimes it goes a different way than our path. It reminds us that everyone is seeking for the same thing: Fulfilment and contentment in life. It is nothing personal, it is just their own journey, so their soul can grow by learning the lessons they need to. At the same time they offer us a chance to learn about accepting others for who they are, even if we don’t understand them.

Safety guidelines:

Bergamot oil is classified as moderately phototoxic and it may be photocarcinogenic, because of its high content in bergapten. If applied topically, the skin should not be exposed to sunlight or sunbed rays for 12 hours. Be cautious as it oxidises easily, and may cause skin sensitisation.

Some aromatherapists use Bergamot oil with removed bergapten (FCF). However, I would advise to use the ‘whole’ oil for subtle work and take the necessary precautions.

Vetiver has none known contraindications. It is better no to exceed 1.3% dilution in topical applications to avoid skin sensitisations.

Be mindful and grateful when you use Vetiver oil as it is an endangered species.

Frankincense is a safe oil to use, as long as the oil has not oxidised due exposure to light or age. In case of oxidisation it can cause skin irritation.

Be mindful and grateful when you use Frankincense oil as it is an endangered species.
